The village president of Hobart will spend 80 days in jail for his third drunk driving offense.
68-year-old Richard Heidel is also losing his drivers license for 27 months. He told a judge he takes full responsibility and he’s been in a 12-step program and sober for the past three months. He was arrested in February after he drove into a ditch in Hobart.
Heidel has been the village president since 2003.
