Anyone going to EAA AirVenture knows it can be a challenge to get in, and then once you’re there, there’s a lot of ground to cover.
To improve transportation and mobility, the organization is working with the Northwestern University School of Industrial Engineering and Management to track people’s movements.
Professor Karen Smilowitz says they’re collecting data, and they’ll make recommendations.
Northwestern students are tracking car traffic, and giving some people GPS units to see where they walk on the grounds.
They hope to have put together a report by early next year.
