Several months after the state Senate essentially fired him, a member of the governor’s cabinet is going to run for a Senate seat.
Brad Pfaff was the secretary of agriculture, trade and consumer protection. The Senate rejected Pfaff’s appointment by Governor Evers last November.
Pfaff announced he’ll challenge Republican Dan Kapanke for an open seat in the 32nd district in western Wisconsin.
Incumbent Democratic Sen. Jennifer Shilling of La Crosse isn’t running for re-election.
