Summer 2014 Art Classes for High School and Adults.

Summer 2014 Art Classes Classes available for High School and Adults at The Trout Museum of Art, 111 W. College Ave, Appleton. Space is limited and payment must be received at time of registration and is non-refundable. For more information visit: www.troutmuseum.org/classes or call 920-733-4089. Mixed Media Drawing with Watercolor Saturdays: 10 am-Noon, July 19-August 9 Cost: $125 Members, $145 Non-Members Join Lee Mothes as he demonstrates drawing techniques, color blending, watercolor washes and different brush techniques. No experience needed. Materials not included. Starting to Paint in Watercolor Saturday, June 21 9:30 am-3:30 pm Cost: $85 Members, $95 Non-Members Join Jeff Zdrale and learn about color relationships and how to mix your own colors, become familiar with materials and techniques. Materials included. Ceramic Art Tile Building Mondays, 6:00-8:30 pm, June 2-16 Cost: $60 Members, $70 Non-Members Join Mary Gordon and learn the basics of working with clay, slabbing, and sculpting while creating tiles in two styles-impression and relief. Materials included, students should bring items to create impressions. Abstract Painting Tuesdays, 6:00-8:30 pm, July 8-August 12 Cost: $85 Members, $95 Non-Members Join Cristian Anderson and look at historical to contemporary examples of abstraction and discuss how these methods of painting added to the artist’s message as well as allow students to develop their own abstract styles. Materials not included. Art Appreciation and Media Recognition Primer Thursday, July 10 6:30-8:30 pm Cost: $5 Members, $15 Non-Members Join renowned Fox Valley painters Phil Sealy and Richard Jelinksi as they guide an exploration of media at the 34th Annual SECURA Fine Arts Exhibition (July 4-July 20, 2014) and explain the properties and challenges of a variety of materials and painting techniques utilized by the artists.
