'Pier West' saved from going south?

Will Pier West Grill in Twin Lakes, Wisconsin keep from going south now that Restaurant Impossible, the TV show on the Food Network, and Chef Robert Irvine have re-done and revealed the all-new version of the failing eatery near Lake Geneva?

Only time will tell, but the show's track record is a solid one. Irvine and his crew come in and fix everything from the decor to the food, the service, and the people running the places they change for the better. These are restaurants that for whatever reason have struggled to the point of being near extinction.

Friday on the PhilCast right after the 3:30 news the owner of Pier West, Chip, who was on the show Monday in anticipation of all this, joins me again to talk about how it all worked out.

This week his restaurant and maybe his life was changed by a television host and crew visiting our state for the first time ever. Should be interesting conversation on the Friday PhilCast.

Watch for the episode in the near future. Restaurant Impossible is on at 8:00 Sunday evenings on the Food Network. Catch the podcast version of my exclusive interview with Chef Robert if you missed it on the PhilCast live earlier this week. (CLICK HERE TO LISTEN)

Chef Irvine gave me the red carpet treatment as they were shooting at the restaurant this week. I'm a big fan not only of the TV show, but of the quality, likable 'big guy' that makes it all happen as well.
