My kind of concert
What a wonderful night at the Wisconsin State Fair Tuesday night, where we lingered until closing time after catching Herman's Hermits live.
And yes, this is the REAL HH with Peter Noone touring.
He was funny, engaging and can still sing too. I was impressed. He played to the crowd with his great sense of humor, giving away shirts and CDs from the stage at times.
They played some great British Invasion stuff.

The weather was fantastic and we stood toward the back of the large crowd for the entire set.
Then almost magically afterward "Mr. State Fair" was there standing next to me just as the concert ended. I hadn't seen him until then.

"Bill of Fair" then directed us to the perfect night cap, a cream puff ale to sip over good conversation.
I hit my favorites to eat as planned, staying away from the gimmick stuff on a stick.
--Walleye sandwich
--Brat with kraut
--Cream puff
(oh, and one apple-cinnamon doughnut once we got home)
Needless to say, a good time was had by all. And if you like Herman and his Hermits they are playing again Wednesday night at 8:00 at the Cousins Subs Amphitheater.
