Crew Ends Target Field Losing Streak

Carlos Gomez, Khris Davis and Jonathan Lucroy all hit home runs for the Milwaukee Brewers as they ended a four game losing streak at Target Field Thursday Night, beating the Twins 8-5.  The Brewers answered an Oswaldo Arcia grand slam off of Milwaukee starter Wily Peralta in the third with three runs in the fourth and three more in the sixth to take a 6-4 lead into the eighth.  The Twins closed to within 6-5 after scoring a run in the bottom of the eighth off Brewers reliever Will Smith.  However, with two outs in the top of the ninth Jonathan Lucroy hit a 2-run shot to right to push the Milwaukee lead to 8-5.  Fransicso Rodriguez pitched a perfect ninth to pick up his 18th save of the season.  Brewers starter Wily Peralta went five inning to pick up the win and improve to 5-5 on the year.  With the win and a loss by the St. Louis Cardinals, Milwaukee pushed its lead in the NL Central to five games.  The Brewers head to Pittsburgh to open up a three game series against the Pirates on Friday. First pitch is scheduled for 6:05 p.m.
