LU makes list of coldest schools

Lawrence University is near the top of a new list that ranks colleges across the country, for having the coldest winters.

The website Niche says the Appleton campus is the 17th coldest.

Dean of admissions Ken Anselment joked that they often talk about "educating the whole student," and Wisconsin winters certainly can build character. He says they hold all of their classes inside, during the winter, so that shouldn't be a problem.

UW-Eau Claire was the highest-ranked Wisconsin school, at seventh. Minnesota State-Moorhead is at the top of the list.
