Car sales up in state in 2013

A lot of people in the Badger State got new wheels last year.

Wisconsin Automobile and Truck Dealers Association president Bill Sepic says sales climbed by 9.4 percent. He says there's some pent-up demand in the market, and consumer confidence is growing. Sepic says banks also played a role in the increase, by making it easier to get a loan.

Numbers from Reg-Trak show new vehicle sales were behind the state average in the Fox Valley. The increase was just 6.3 percent. Brown County had the best numbers in the region, with a nearly 9.4 percent hike.
