Metro police: Man pointed gun at officers

A Little Chute man faces several charges, after police say he pointed a shotgun at officers during a domestic abuse call.

Fox Valley Metro officer Scott Van Schyndel says they went to a trailer home in the Dutch Harbor Estates on Washington Street, shortly before 4 a.m. Sunday.

He says 46-year-old David Roepcke threatened the officers with the gun, but he surrendered before backup arrived. Van Schyndel says the situation could have escalated quickly.

Roepcke faces charges of criminal damage to property, intimidating a victim, using a gun while drunk, and disorderly conduct.
