Walker pledges help with propane shortage

Governor Walker says he's taking steps to help companies and families dealing with the propane shortage.

The governor declared a state of emergency over the weekend, because of tight supplies and skyrocketing prices. He announced today that the state will spend $8 million to back loans to propane dealers, and another $8.5 million to help low-income customers pay for propane.

The state's Democratic U.S. Senator is also trying to help people impacted by the propane shortage.

Sen. Tammy Baldwin of Madison sent a letter to President Obama over the weekend. She's asking him to limit the amount of propane that the country exports.
