Appleton in Top 5 for sub-zero days

This winter is on pace to be among the coldest on record, in Appleton and Green Bay.

National Weather Service Meteorologist Jeff Last says today is the 24th day when the low was below zero, in Appleton, and Green Bay is at 27. If the trend continues, he says Appleton will have its fourth most sub-zero days, and Green Bay could come in fifth.

Last says he doubts either city will overtake the top spot. He says we'll probably add another two or three sub-zero days to the total this week.
