Rural schools recognized for programs

The state is highlighting Clintonville middle school and five other rural schools, for starting a program that strengthens the community.

Fifth grade teacher Justin Zoellick says he started the Wise Guys program last year, as a way to help boys learn new skills, and work as a team. Now those kids are sixth graders, and Zoellick says they're tackling projects that help others.

The Stockbridge district was also recognized for starting a pre-school story time program at the school library.

The department of public instruction is handing out awards to the six schools, tomorrow, at the Capitol.
