Some Washington Square scenarios laid out

The city of Appleton is looking to the future for the library and City Hall, and a planner developed some possible scenarios.

Randy Bremhorst of Hoffman studied the Washington Square area in the downtown. He says a lot hinges on what happens with the library. He says a decision on whether to expand, or build a new one, should come sometime this year.

Bremhorst says it's possible City Hall could move into the existing library, or onto the current site of the Blue parking ramp.

The Blue parking ramp, next to the City Center, will have to be torn down in the coming years. Bremhorst identified the 200 block of N. Appleton Street, across from the library, as a possible location for a new ramp. He says it's just a hypothetical.
