Leo Frigo bridge traffic returns to normal

Traffic levels are returning to normal on the Leo Frigo bridge.

The I-43 bridge in Green Bay opened just over a month ago, after crews spent over three months reinforcing some support piers, and putting a sagging section back into place.

DOT spokesman Kim Rudat says more than 33,000 drivers typically cross the bridge every day, but the traffic count was down about 15 percent in the days after it reopened. He says that was to be expected.

Rudat says crews removed all of their equipment from around the bridge, and they'll have to do some landscaping projects in the spring.
