Kimberly considering TIF for mill site, downtown

Kimberly village leaders hope the redevelopment of the former paper mill will also spark some interest in the downtown.

Administrator Adam Hammatt says they want to offer incentives for projects on the mill site, through a TIF district. He says they're looking to expand the district, to include most of the downtown.

Hammatt introduced his plans for the TIF district, at last night's village board meeting.

Developer Randy Stadtmueller is looking to turn the mill site, into a mixed-use development, called The Cedars.
