Long streak of below-freezing temps over

It's been about a month since the temperature topped the freezing mark in Appleton and Green Bay.

Meteorologist Scott Berschbeck works for the National Weather Service in Green Bay. He says today snaps a 29-day streak in Appleton that dates back to a 33-degree day on January 20. He says it's been 36 days since Green Bay reached 38 on January 13.

Berschbeck says it's unusual to have that long of a stretch this time of year.

High temperatures are expected to be around the freezing mark again, tomorrow and Thursday. Long-term forecasts are predicting lows back in the single digits, below zero, early next week.
