Work set for 2 Hwy. 41 overpasses near Oshkosh

Construction starts next month on two overpasses along Highway 41, between Neenah and Oshkosh.

DOT project manager Tom Buchholz says they'll start tearing down the bridges for Highway GG and Y, during the week of March 3. He says they'll also add a 10-foot path to both overpasses, for bicycles, pedestrians, and snowmobiles.

While crews are tearing down the overpasses, Highway 41 will be closed overnight, between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. The highway will be down to two lanes in each direction throughout the rest of the project.

Construction is expected to be done by August 14.

The DOT will hold a meeting tonight, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., at the Winnebago County highway department to talk about the projects.
