Bill would limit liability of farmers

Farms that double as tourist attractions would have some protections from civil lawsuits, under a bill that cleared the Assembly yesterday.

Republican Rep. Lee Nerison of Westby says owners couldn't be held liable, if some is hurt or killed by a common danger.

If farms charge admission, the owners would have to post signs, warning about the possible dangers on the property.

The proposal passed on a bi-partisan vote, and it now goes to the Senate.
