Outagamie Co. might get 2nd drug K-9

There's one drug dog on the force for the Outagamie County sheriff's department, and that number might double soon.

Sheriff Brad Gehring launched a fundraising drive yesterday to support their K-9 program.

Deputy Jim Stordock is the handler for Tiga, and he says they've responded to more than 600 calls, since 2009. He says last year was probably her most productive one.

Stordock says agencies around the county ask Tiga for help, when an officer suspects someone might have drugs in a car or a house.

The new K-9 fund for the sheriff's department is through the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region.

Gehring says their initial goal is to raise $100,000.
