Walker: Tourism revenue increasing

Governor Walker says the state's tourism industry is growing.

He says when he took office, the tourism had a nearly $15-billion a year economic impact, and that's now up to nearly $17-billion. Walker credits increased marketing efforts in Chicago, the Twin Cities, and northeast Iowa, with bringing in more tourists. He says even this winter's frigid temperatures and snow are helping some tourist destinations.

The governor's tourism conference in Lake Geneva is wrapping up today.
