Titletown Brewing Co. expansion underway

Construction is getting started on a major expansion for the Titletown Brewing Company in Green Bay.

CEO Jim Kratowicz says they're going to quadruple the amount of beer they can produce, by renovating the former Larson Canning building. The property is across the parking lot from their current restaurant and brewery, and he says it will create a campus feel.

He says the renovated facility will have retail space on the first floor, offices on the second, and room for events, like smaller weddings.

Kratowicz says the project will let them expand their beer sales statewide, and beyond. He says right now, for the most part, they can only make enough beer to sell it in their restaurant.

He says they plan to start brewing beer in the renovated facility, in September. Officials held a groundbreaking ceremony this morning.

The Titletown Brewing Company's project is south of the site that Walmart was eyeing for a supercenter.
