Counting over for Mickey Mouse-type votes

When people vote for "Mickey Mouse" or "Donald Duck" on election day, clerks won't have to keep track of those write-ins anymore.

Appleton City Clerk Char Peterson says that's going to save time, for staffers. She says they still have to go through the ballots, to look for write ins, but they won't have to account for every one.

Under the law that Governor Walker signed recently, clerks only have to count votes for registered write-in candidates.
