Court reinstates protester lawsuit against state

A state appeals court is reviving a lawsuit from a group that protested the collective bargaining law, at the Capitol.

Six people who were ticketed for carrying signs sued, saying their free speech rights were violated. The tickets were later thrown out.

The 4th District Court of Appeals says a judge made errors in dismissing the lawsuit.

The three-judge panel also rejected the state's argument that the issue became irrelevant, after policy changes were made at the Capitol.
