Students to build own Habitat house

Students from seven local high schools are going to work together this summer to build a house for Habitat for Humanity.

John Weyenberg is the executive director of the Greater Fox Cities Area chapter, and he says they wanted to leave a graduation present for the community.

The students need to raise $75,000. They're calling the project "Operation Building Hope."

The high schools that are involved are Appleton North, East, and West, Neenah, Kaukauna, Kimberly, and St. Mary Central.

The house will be in the 400 block of W. Ninth Street in Kaukauna. Construction is expected to start in mid-June.

Neenah high school is holding a fundraiser tonight, in the main parking lot of the school. They're having an outdoor showing of the movie Frozen. The lot opens at 6:30 p.m., and the movie will start around 8 p.m.
