City: 'Little changes' in latest Walmart plans

The leader of Green Bay's planning and community development department says little has changed in Walmart's latest proposal for a downtown supercenter.

Director Kim Flom says they finished an initial review, after the retailer submitted the latest designs last Friday. She says they'll continue their work, and the plan commission could take up the proposal on June 9. It's possible that the city council might not make a final decision, until August.

Flom says the updated footprint of the site is virtually the same. She says there are also some questions about the "air rights" to build above the surface parking lot. She says there are high-tension wires over that area, and that could limit the height of any development.
