Kratz suspended for 4 months

A former Calumet County district attorney is losing his law license for four months, over a sexting scandal.

The state Supreme Court ordered the suspension this morning for attorney Ken Kratz. Kratz will also have to pay nearly $24,000 to cover the cost of the Office of Lawyer Regulation's investigation and proceedings.

Kratz resigned in 2010, after a domestic abuse victim accused him of sending her sexually suggestive text messages, while he prosecuted her ex-boyfriend.

A reserve judge recommended the four-month suspension, almost two years ago, after finding Kratz guilty of six counts of breaking state rules for attorneys.
