Kaufert expects building boom after Hwy. 441 work

A lawmaker who pushed for years for a major road construction project, believes there will be an explosion of growth to the west of the new interchange for Highways 10-441, and 41.

Republican Rep. Dean Kaufert of Neenah says there's a lot of interest in that area, but right now, drivers don't have direct access from Highway 41 North, to Highway 10 West.

The DOT broke ground on the Highway 441 project yesterday.

Over the next five years, crews will rebuild the interchange with Highway 41, and build a second bridge over Little Lake Butte des Morts. They're also going to widen six miles of the highway, so there will be three lanes in each direction.
