Packers rededicate Harlan Plaza

The renovated Harlan Plaza, outside of Lambeau Field, opens next Thursday, but Packers officials rededicated it yesterday.

The project started in January, and Packers president Mark Murphy says they lowered the plaza 20 feet, so people can have direct access to the new Pro Shop.

He says the plaza still features the statues of Vince Lombardi and Curly Lambeau. But now, Murphy says it has better landscaping, and improved fan access to the stadium. He says it also looks better, from Lombardi Avenue.

Former Packers president Bob Harlan says he's honored that his name is attached to the plaza that includes the Lombardi and Lambeau statues.

The original Harlan Plaza was built in 2003.
