Tax credit decision helps Kaukauna project

A revived tax credit program will help a finance a Kaukauna project.

Developer Randy Stadtmueller wants to renovate the former Eagle mill. He says he was seeking $500,000 in historic credits, through the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation.

The agency put a moratorium in place last month, but it was lifted yesterday. Stadtmueller says they're in the process of receiving historic designations, so they're back on track, to get the credits. He says they could close on the mill, in about a month.

The Kaukauna library would move into the former mill.
