Walker calls for action on Commom Core

Governor Walker is talking about his stance on the Common Core education standards.

The governor was in Appleton this morning at the Radisson Paper Valley hotel. He says he wants to repeal Common Core, and he's calling on lawmakers to take up the issue, first, when they get back to the Capitol next year.

Walker says Wisconsin's education system already meets high standards. He doesn't think lawmakers, especially ones from out of state, should set education standards.

Walker says he's hearing from school boards across the state that aren't happy with Common Core.
