Brewers Can't Hold Lead; Nats Walk-Off to Win Series

Jayson Werth's RBI double scored Anthony Rendon all the way from first base, as Washington (53-43) walked off winners 5-4 over Milwaukee (54-45) Sunday at Nationals Park.  The Brewers grabbed an early 3-1 lead heading to the bottom of the fourth inning but a three run outburst gave the Nationals a 4-3 lead.  Ryan Zimmerman's two-run homer highlighted the frame for the Nats as Brewers starter Yovanni Gallardo gave up four runs on eight hits with six strikeouts over six innings of work.  It was the 10th no-decision for Gallardo who is 5-5 on the year.  Milwaukee was able to come back and tie the game at 4-4 in the bottom of the ninth on a RBI single by Rickie Weeks off Nationals closer Rafael Soriano (2-0).  However, Brewers reliever Rob Wooten (1-4) was unable to retire Werth with two outs in the bottom of the innings as Milwaukee has now lost 13 of their last 16 games.  Pending the result of tonights Dodgers-Cardinals game, Milwaukee could relinquish the lead in the NL Central for the first time since April 5th.  The Brewers head home tonight and open a three game series against the Cincinnati Reds tomorrow night, first pitch is slated for 7:10 p.m. with the pre-game show beginning at 6:35 p..m. on 1150-WHBY.
