The state is giving Fox Valley Technical College $3.6 million to expand programs that produce highly skilled workers.

Chris Matheny is the school's vice president, and he says they'll target transportation, health care, manufacturing, and business.

The state expects that the funding will help train about 850 additional workers in various fields.

The department of workforce development is providing $28 million in grants to the 16 technical colleges in Wisconsin.
