Anderson guilty of threatening to kill parents

A Kaukauna man accused of threatening to kill his parents was convicted of several charges.

A jury found 38-year-old James Anderson guilty on seven charges, following a three-day trial in Outagamie County court. Those charges include attempted murder, kidnapping, and battery.

Court records say he beat his mother, in September of last year, and told her that she would be dead by the end of the day. They say he forced her to drive, at gunpoint, toward his father's home in Appleton. She was able to escape by faking a heart attack, and stopping at a Little Chute gas station.

Anderson drove off, and he was arrested several days later in Michigan's upper peninsula.

He'll be sentenced on five felonies and two misdemeanors, at a future hearing.
