Brewers get Shut Out to end Home Stand

Milwaukee Brewers Rookie Pitcher Jimmy Nelson pitched well but made one mistake a 2 run home run on an 0-2 pitch to Lucas Duda in the 6th inning as the New York Mets shut out the Brewers 2-0 Sunday at Miller Park. Fellow rookie Jacob deGrom earned the win for the Mets. The Brewers conclude their home stand with a 5-2 record and now have a 2 game lead over the St. Louis Cardinals in the NL Central Division. The Brewers will now travel to Florida and take on Tampa Bay in a three game series on Monday. Kyle Lohse will get the start versus former Wisconsin Timber Rattlers pitcher Jake Odorizzi. Pre-game show on News Talk 1150-WHBY will begin at 5:35pm and first pitch will be at 6:10pm.
