Report: Tanning led to spike in skin cancer

A report from the surgeon general shows melanoma skin cancer cases are up 200 percent, since 1973.

The study recommends bans on tanning beds on college campuses, and increasing public awareness of the dangers of indoor, and outdoor tanning. Sara Sahli is with the American Cancer Society's Wisconsin chapter. She says her group supports banning minors from using tanning beds, and encouraging people to be safe outside.

Sahli says many people don't take the risk factors for skin cancer, seriously.
