DOT hopes for repeat with Packers traffic

Packers fans heading to today's preseason game should do whatever they did last week to keep traffic running smoothly.

That's the advice of DOT spokesman Kim Rudat. He says they didn't have any major problems, despite the construction on Highway 41.

The DOT recommends Packers fans on I-43 use the Leo Frigo bridge, and take Highway 41 south to Lombardi Avenue. Drivers on Highway 41 North can use the Ashland Avenue exit to get to Lambeau Field.

Rudat says there will be more than just game day traffic on the highways. He says people will be heading home from work, and others will be leaving town to get an early start to the Labor Day weekend.
