Finalists named for UW-Oshkosh chancellor

The UW System announced the five finalists for UW-Oshkosh chancellor today.

Human resources professor Barb Rau  is leading the search committee. She says all of the candidates would be a good fit.

Four of the candidates are vice chancellors of academic affairs. They're Lane Earns of UW-Oshkosh, Beverly Kopper of UW-Whitewater, Margaret Madden of the State University of New York at Potsdam and Mark Pagano of Montana State University. University of North Georgia vice president Andrew Leavitt is the fifth finalist.

Rau says they'll also visit campus, over the next two weeks. She says they'll hold some public forums.

Rau says the UW System will name the new chancellor on September 29.

Longtime UW-Oshkosh Chancellor Richard Wells retired last month.
