Guard preparing for terror attacks, disasters
The state continues to prepare for possible terrorist attacks, although the head of the Wisconsin National Guard says other issues are a priority for emergency responders, as well.
Major General Don Dunbar is also the state's Homeland Security Advisor. He says they also have to be prepared for natural disasters like floods and winter storms.
The state's Homeland Security Council is releasing its annual report on how Wisconsin is preparing for possible emergencies.
Dunbar says the focus is primarily on improving communication between state and local agencies, and educating the public on how to respond when something happens.
