Man killed in downtown Appleton crash
A fight in downtown Appleton early yesterday apparently
led to a fatal accident in Houdini Plaza.
Police say they were called to the area around College Avenue and Durkee Street, around 1:30 a.m., and officers saw a man drive away, without his car's headlights on. They say he crashed in the plaza, and he was partially thrown from the car.
The Appleton man was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
A Waupaca man was a passenger in the car, and he was treated at a hospital, for non life-threatening injuries.
Police are still investigating.
