J.J. Keller Foundation reaches milestone
The J.J. Keller Foundation is reaching the $35 million mark for charitable giving today.
The nonprofit is passing that threshold with a $35,000 donation to the Fox Valley Literacy Council.
Foundation executive director Mary Harp-Jirschele says that money was donated over the last 22 years, and nearly all of it went to organizations that provide basic needs, in the Fox Cities.
She says the foundation still has about $70 million, and it will continue donating well into the future.
Harp-Jirschele says the foundation donated $3.5 million this year alone.
