Da Vinci exhibit extended at museum

Machines designed by Leonardo da Vinci will be in the Fox Cities for about a month longer than expected.

Matt Carpenter is the deputy director of the History Museum at the Castle, in downtown Appleton. He says the "Machines in Motion" exhibit was scheduled to leave for a new museum in Florida on January 6, but construction delays are keeping it here until February 3.

Carpenter says people who haven't seen the exhibit yet, should check it out. He says the exhibit is a popular field trip destination, because kids can expereince da Vinci's work hands-on.

Carpenter says there are still a lot of machines in the manufacturing industry that are based off of the da Vinci designs.
