Neighbors talk with pool hall owners
Neighbors have had a chance to sit down with the owners of a proposed bar, restaurant, and pool hall in Appleton, to talk about their concerns with serving alcohol.
The Jai Sung Mah Pool Hall is at the corner of Wisconsin Avenue and Appleton Street, and the city's plan commission is still debating whether to allow alcohol sales.
Ald. Teege Mettille represents that area, and he says the impact that alcohol could have, especially with noise in the area, is the biggest concern among some of the neighbors.
The proposed business hours are until 2 a.m. The building was previously home to retail businesses.
Mettille says the owners have held two meetings so far with the neighbors.
The plan commission will meet about the issue next week.
