Man gets life in mental facility for murder
A Wittenberg man charged with killing his father earlier this year might be in a mental institution for the rest of his life.
A Shawano County judge handed down a life sentence yesterday, in the case of 21-year-old Joshua Johnson.
Court records say he shot, stabbed, and beat his 60-year-old father, Donald Johnson, last February. He entered an insanity plea in October.
Doctors testified that Johnson suffers from paranoid schizophrenia. He'll be able to petition for a review, every six months.
