Walker could focus funds on innovation
Governor Walker says innovation is an important piece in growing the state's economy.
He spoke at the New North Summit this morning, in downtown Appleton. He says it can be tough for new companies, and small businesses, to get started or grow.
Walker says he'll look at a number of options to help when he puts together the next state budget.
He says the New North region is a key part of the state's economy, especially in the high-tech, health care, manufacturing, and insurance fields.
Today's summit at the Radisson Paper Valley hotel is focusing on innovation.
