Former Walker appointee gets prison time
A former appointee of Governor Walker, while he was the Milwaukee County executive, is going to prison for two years.
A judge handed down that sentence today for 62-year-old Kevin Kavanaugh.
He stole more than $51,000 using phony withdrawals, while he was the leader of the county veteran service commission. The money was intended for veterans and their families.
A jury found Kavanaugh guilty in October, and he apologized in court today. The judge called the apology worthless.
