Hwy. depts. likely to have surplus winter budgets
We could get a wintry mix this weekend, and snow is in the forecast for later next week, but the leader of Outagamie County's highway department says the budget is looking great as the year draws to a close.
Highway Commissioner Al Geurts says they haven't had to deal with much snow in 2012.
Geurts says they have enough to handle whatever Mother Nature can dish out for the rest of the year. He says if there is a surplus at the end of the year it will offset other parts of the highway budget that ran short.
