Appleton police train for school shootings
Every officer on Appleton's police force goes through training, 
to handle a potential school shooting like the devastating one in Connecticut.
Sgt. Pat DeWall says they hold refresher courses for all officers, every few years. He says that's important, because they might be the first on the scene.
DeWall says the SWAT team works with the school district, to hold exercises inside various schools. He says the department started partnering with the district about a decade ago.
