NWS calling for foot of snow

The weather is calm now, but by Thursday afternoon traveling in the Fox Cities will be hazardous.

That's the feeling of Meteorologist Jeff Last of the National Weather Service office in Green Bay.

He says the winter storm that's heading toward Wisconsin will hold off until around 2 a.m. Thursday. Last says the heaviest snow will fall between 5 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Last says the Fox Cities will likely get about a foot of snow. He says there's a possibility of thunder snow, when the storm is reaching its peak.

He says people should avoid traveling, if they can, during the snow storm.
