Authorities urge drivers to stay off roads
Don't drive if you don't have to today. That's the advice from law enforcement in northeast Wisconsin.
Lt. Tony Burrell of the State Patrol says troopers have been dealing with a number cars in the ditch and jack-knifed semis, and Highways 41 and 441 are snow-covered and slippery.
He says if you end up in the ditch, it could take a while for an officer to get to you, and those people will have to leave their car in the ditch, until the storm passes. He says that's because they aren't letting tow trucks remove them right now.
In Outagamie County, Staff Sgt. David Spaeth says they're plowing the main roads regularly, and people should avoid rural roads, because of drifting.
